23 Year Old Gherkin
I’m spending a lot of time scouring old photos. I’m trying to build 3 different websites and I’m using older content to build the framework. I really want to use this site and MiMirador.com for future adventures, but I want to get all of this horrible technical stuff behind me, and start focusing on future adventures.
This morning I was looking at photos that I had taken on the 10th of May in whatever year, and I came across this image of construction workers putting the last tiles of the Gherkin in London. Designed by Norman Foster in the 90s, the building transformed London’s skyline and set new benchmarks in environmental building.
Foster & Associates have designed 1 Bloor St West which is currently being built here in Toronto.
These photos were taken on May the 10th 2003, 23 years ago today.
