I’ve spent half of my life in Canada and half in England, with a sprinkling of France and Australia in there too. The last 20 years have been spent here in Toronto’s East End. It’s the same neighbourhood that I grew up in.

Now as I start planning the next chapter of my life, I’m occasionally asked why I’m moving on. I feel I always leave people with the wrong impression. Yes, it’s too expensive to live here in Toronto on a small pension. Yes, it’s cold in the winter and it lasts forever.

For everything I may complain about, there are a thousand things that are awesome. This post is going to capture just a few of those.
