This is my first site where I'm not marketing anything, I have nothing to sell and I need nothing from you. I know that in earlier websites I said that I was the greatest photographer ever, but I have a confession to make. I'm not. I gave up work to live on my minuscule pension, but I'm content. I started thinking about and planning a new website while driving through the backroads of Costa Rica in 2025. They weren't the best circumstances. It was extraction time for my dental implants and my temporary denture didn't fit and then I got sick. It was also the middle of the rainy season. My first mistake was taking a giant camera backpack that was hard to carry on any hike, particularly while recovering from illness. It's such a stunningly beautiful country and not getting to take pictures was very frustrating. I thought if I can't take pictures, I'll try and write, but post-surgery brain fog made that almost impossible. I was full of inputs and no outputs. I started making plans for how I could be more creative and regain my love of photography and start to write. It's 6 months later now and I've decided that I need 3 websites. Toronto-Pix.com will be all things Toronto. MiMirador.com will show differing perspectives coming from the same place, in both photography and life. Mendl.ca will be everything that doesn't fit in the first 2 and more. Welcome to the site that doesn't fit in the other 2 categories. I'm guessing it will have the most longevity. I'm designing and building as I go along with mainly old content, but I hope to add new stuff once I have the structure up and start venturing into this Senior's Wasteland.
